About the Survey

Delay the Stay is conducting a voluntary, confidential survey to better understand the experiences of California residents who have recently gone through a foreclosure. The survey collects information about:

• Whether you received offers of assistance after foreclosure.

• How soon after foreclosure you were contacted with offers.

• What prompted you to accept or decline any assistance offered.

Your responses will help us improve our resources and services to better support families facing foreclosure. Delay The Stay is not a law firm and does not provide legal or financial advice. We offer information and resources only.

Eligibility for Participation
To participate, you must:

• Be a resident of California.

• Have experienced a foreclosure in California within the past 12 months.

• Complete the survey in full, providing accurate and honest responses.

$20 Amazon Gift Card
As a thank-you for participating, eligible participants who fully complete the survey may receive a $20 Amazon Gift Card, subject to the following terms:

• Only one gift card per participant.

• Gift cards are subject to availability (limited to the first 500 eligible participants).

• You must provide a valid email address to receive the gift card (delivered electronically within 14 business days of survey completion).

• Delay The Stay reserves the right to verify eligibility and disqualify incomplete or fraudulent responses.

• Gift cards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Amazon is not a sponsor of this survey, and gift cards are subject to Amazon’s terms of use.

Privacy and Data Collection
Your privacy is our priority. The survey is anonymous and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address, or Social Security number. We collect only the following:

• Responses to questions about foreclosure assistance offers, timing, and reasons for acceptance or rejection.

• An optional email address (solely for gift card delivery, if applicable).

Your data will be:

• Kept confidential and stored securely.

• Used only to improve Delay the Stay’s resources and marketing efforts to better serve families facing foreclosure.

• Not shared with third parties, except as required by law or to process gift card delivery (e.g., email transmission to a gift card provider).

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it’s used.

• Request deletion of your data (if applicable).

• Opt out of any data sharing (note: we do not sell your data).
